Hello Y'all
For those who don't know me, my name is Micah. I was born and raised in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I have been a born-again believer of Jesus Christ for a longtime. And I desire to serve my Lord. This past summer I felt the Lord calling me to pursue full time ministry, I'm not sure in what capacity yet. But I wanted to be obedient, and I knew I needed to be equipped. So, the Lord opened up doors for me to attend Calvary Bible Institute in Trujillo, Peru.
My Testimony
How did I wind up in Peru? It's a good question to ask. So, here's an abridged version of my testimony. My whole life my father has served the Lord faithfully in his calling as the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Myrtle Beach (CCMB). Alongside my wonderful mother. When I was younger, I always said I wanted to be just like my dad and be a pastor when I grew up. As time passed my desires changed and I no longer wanted to be a pastor. I loved the Lord and delighted in serving Him at CCMB. But no longer did I desire to be a pastor. Skipping forward a bunch of time, I'm in high school trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I examined a few different career paths, and even pursued being an electrician after high school. But never did I give serious thought to working in the ministry like my father, I still wanted to serve the Lord, but I wanted it on my terms. Which meant no full-time ministry. Two years post high school graduation, I was considering attending Liberty University. In fact, I almost did, I only had to pick my dorm room and classes, and I would have been off to university. The Lord however, had different plans, and I was being a little hard of hearing. Thankfully the Lord used several trusted people in my life to speak to me, and after prayer and a little (lot) of heart examination. I knew I had been suppressing what the Lord was speaking to me. And that if I wanted to be obedient, I needed to pursue ministry and working for the Lord full time, not just part time service. I knew I needed to be trained and equipped, and I wanted to be challenged in my training. The Lord brought me to Peru to learn and grow in Him and learn how to do ministry full time. So, that's my story.
